Val 

In 2001 Massachusetts lifted the Ban on tattooing but New Bedford didn't allow tattooing until 2007.  New Bedford didn't lift this ban until   Val had worked relentlessly with the city for nearly two years.  Val's first shop the Tattoo Room opened in August of 2007 and was located at 858 Kempton St.  In 2012 Val Started the New Bedford Tattoo Company with her business / Life partner Venessa located in north end at 1780 Acushnet Avenue.  July of 2015 Val and Venessa opened a second location in Historical Downtown New Bedford 31 Union St. In 2018 they have found a permanent location at 86 Front St.
